The main goal of the activity is to get to know each other in a meaningful way
- For participants to get acquainted with each other
- Quotes equivalent to the number of participants plus an additional 25%
Step By Step Instructions
Gather the number of quotes required.
The quotes need to be prepared ahead of time. Write one quote each on one sheet of paper and have enough quotes for more than the number of participants as stated above.
Put the sheets of paper with quotes in the center of the room. Instruct each participant to pick up one quote, then chooses a partner.
Partners begin to discuss what the quote means to them and how.
After a minute or so the facilitator gives a signal and participants switch partners, and switch quotes as well if participants wish to do so.
This goes on for about 15 minutes. This type of activity might also be revised to fit storytelling.
