Activity Description

The Drop Sink and Clink Game originated from the Minute to Win It Television game show.

The Minute to Win It games are great fun for parties, social and corporate events as well as team building and youth activities.

The objective in the Minute to Win it games are to complete the various games as laid out in the blueprints within 60 seconds.

Five shot glasses are resting at the bottom of five fish bowls filled with water. Your goal is to drop a quarter into each one of the shot glasses in 60 seconds.

Five fish bowls per team

Five standard sized, clear glass shot glasses per team

How to Play the Drop Sink and Clink Minute to Win It Game

To set up the game, place the shot glasses into the fish bowls and fill almost to the top with water. If the shot glasses are very light you may have to affix them to the bottoms of the bowls with a water-resistant adhesive. Place the five prepared bowls in a row.

To begin game play, start the timer. Grab the bowl of quarters and begin trying to drop them into the bowls so they will land in the shot glasses. Each shot glass must have at least one quarter inside it at the end of 60 seconds to win.

The Rules of Drop Sink and Clink Minute to Win It Game

Coins must be dropped from a height of at least 36 inches above the bowl to qualify.

You must hold the bowl of coins in one hand and drop with the other.

Some useful tips

Dropping the coins from a higher distance will result in the coins hitting the water faster and straighter.

Drop the coins so that the edge hits the water, not the flat faces. This will give you less drift.

Incorporating Drop Sink and Clink Minute to Win It Game into other activities

Drop Sink and Clink  can be included as one of the games as part of a Minute to Win It themed event, or it can be incorporated into other games for school camps, birthday parties, office parties or other social events.

To use Blind Ballas part of a team building or group activity, the rules can be adapted to get individuals to compete against each other to win points for their team.

Another popular option is to run Drop Sink and Clink in a relay format with each team member needing to complete the activity before the next team member starts.

In addition, Drop Sink and Clink can also be used as part of a challenge to be completed in a Scavenger Hunt or Amazing Race Themed Event.
